VENTUREXCHANGE IN SOUTH EAST EUROPE 2010 COMPETITION

Croatian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (CVCA) is announcing VentureXchange in South East Europe 2010 Competition for the selection of the most exciting venture capital investment opportunities in the region.

The selected finalists will be presented to international and regional investors on the VentureXchange event day (24 February 2010), special publication, CD and new website www.venturexchange-see.com.

The competition is open to all South East European (SEE) entrepreneurs from the following countries:
Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia (the “South East European Countries” or “SEE”).

Participants can submit their proposals in several categories including:

  • START-UP
  • TECHNOLOGY MEDIA TELECOMMUNICATIONS
  • CLEANTECH (ALTERNATIVE ENGERGY SOURCES, ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS)
  • EXPANSION
  • BUYOUT
  • TURNAROUND

The proposals should be submitted completing the competition documentation in English or in one of the official SEE languages to the Public Notary Ankica Hukelj, Mrazovićeva 6/1, HR-10000 Zagreb starting from Monday, 4 January 2010. The final date for submission is delivery by 5 pm (by post, courier or hand) on Wednesday, 10 February 2010 Thursday, 28 January 2010.

The proposals will be evaluated by Evaluation Committee according to the criteria specified by competition documentation.

Private equity and venture capital are responsible for supporting and funding thousands of most promising growing companies in Europe every year. This creates many thousands of jobs, mostly in the small and medium enterprises. This also creates investment opportunities for investors seeking such risk exposures.

Welcome to CVCA.

Our intention through this Association is to replicate some of that success in Croatia and the region. The association want to serve as a meeting point for players in this field, but also to work to improve conditions for investment in general. We would like to help improve the general understanding of our business and provide guidance that will raise the quality of its execution.
